DME combines three complementary senior perspectives along the lifecycle of water and desalination projects: strategic water assessment, technology and investment assessment, and the technical assessment of infrastructure and its feasibility.
From the client's problem to a sound decision
First, needs, objectives and constraints are clarified. Then options, technology, economics and financing are assessed. Finally, the selected solution is technically reviewed for feasibility and operability.

How the desks work together
- Strategic Water Assessment - Lead: Marcel Salazar. Demand, water availability, risks, sustainability targets and resilience requirements are defined.
- Technology & Investment Assessment - Lead: Claus Mertes. Technology options, project model, economics, bankability and key risks are assessed.
- Technical Infrastructure Assessment - Lead: Lars Späth. Intake, process and infrastructure are technically reviewed, together with readiness for tender, commissioning and operation.
- Integrated Decision Support - Joint. The client receives a consistent basis for decisions on investment, tender, implementation or further project development.
Each desk has one clear lead responsibility; the other desks contribute at the interfaces.
Independent by design
Every desk assesses. None builds plants, sells equipment or takes supplier commissions. Read the Independence Charter
