In April 2016, Water. Desalination + reuse (Faversham House) reported that Osmoflo had won a contract from Kwajalein Atoll Joint Utilities Resources, the utility serving Ebeye in the Marshall Islands with power and water. Osmoflo was to design, deliver and set up two seawater reverse osmosis units rated at 1,600 m³/day, then run and maintain them through its PlantConnect remote monitoring system. The units were to be built at the company's own factory in South Australia and shipped more than 5,700 km. Osmoflo secured the award against international competitors.
Using Ebeye as an example, the report showed remote Pacific islands turning to factory-built reverse osmosis units with remote monitoring, supplied over long distances by specialist vendors.
